Custom Build & Modification Policy
This policy explains important considerations for customized golf carts, modifications, accessory installations and build-specific requests handled by Woody's Golf Carts. Customers should carefully review and confirm the details of their requested configuration before custom work proceeds.
Custom Golf Carts Require Clear Specifications
A custom golf cart can involve changes to appearance, accessories, wheels, tires, seating, suspension, electrical components or other vehicle features. The exact configuration depends on the customer's request, component compatibility and the details agreed for the individual build.
Because customized products are prepared around selected specifications, customers should carefully review the requested configuration before approving custom work or ordering build-specific components.
Product availability, compatibility and other build considerations may affect what can reasonably be included in a particular configuration. A request for a modification should therefore not be interpreted as confirmation that the requested component is appropriate for every golf cart.
Review Your Build Details
Customers should confirm the important elements of their requested configuration before relying on the build as final.
From Request to Completed Configuration
The exact process can vary according to the golf cart, components and work involved. These stages provide a general overview rather than a guaranteed sequence for every build.
Build Request
Customer explains the desired golf cart configuration, accessories or modifications.
Configuration Review
Vehicle details, requested components and relevant compatibility considerations are reviewed.
Customer Confirmation
Applicable specifications and transaction information should be reviewed before the work proceeds.
Build / Modification
Authorized custom work can proceed according to the applicable configuration and component availability.
Completion
The customer should review the completed configuration and applicable product information.
Important: Road & Street-Legal Requirements Vary
A modification, accessory or custom configuration does not automatically make a golf cart legal for operation on public roads. Vehicle requirements can vary by state, county, municipality, roadway and intended use. Customers are responsible for determining the rules that apply where they intend to operate the vehicle. Unless specifically stated in writing for a particular transaction, Woody's Golf Carts does not represent that a customized or modified golf cart is street legal in the customer's jurisdiction.
Scope of This Policy
This policy applies generally to custom golf cart builds, modifications, accessory installations and other configuration-specific work handled by Woody's Golf Carts where applicable.
Individual builds may have additional product-specific or transaction-specific information. Customers should review the details applicable to their particular vehicle and requested work.
Custom Build Specifications
Custom work should be based on the specifications applicable to the customer's particular request.
Depending on the build, relevant specifications may include:
- The base golf cart or vehicle configuration.
- Requested parts and accessories.
- Wheel and tire selections.
- Seating or exterior selections.
- Electrical accessories where applicable.
- Suspension or ride-related modifications where applicable.
- Other build-specific options requested by the customer.
This list describes possible areas of customization and does not mean every option is offered or appropriate for every vehicle.
Customer Review & Approval
Customers should review the important specifications of a custom build before approving the applicable work.
The customer is responsible for identifying errors, misunderstandings or requested changes as early as reasonably possible.
Component Compatibility
Not every golf cart component or accessory is compatible with every make, model, year or configuration.
Compatibility can also be affected by existing modifications or other installed equipment.
A customer's preference for a particular product does not establish that the product can be appropriately installed on the applicable vehicle.
Parts & Accessories
Custom builds may involve parts or accessories selected for the applicable configuration.
Product availability, fitment, compatibility and installation requirements may affect the final build.
Review the Parts & Accessories Policy for additional information.
OEM, Replacement & Aftermarket Components
Customers should not assume that every component used in a custom build is an original equipment manufacturer component unless it is specifically identified as such.
Depending on the applicable build, components may include OEM, replacement or aftermarket products.
A golf cart retaining the branding of its original manufacturer does not mean every subsequently installed accessory or component was manufactured by that brand.
Review the Product Authenticity Policy for additional information.
Appearance, Photos & Visual Expectations
Photographs, examples and previously completed configurations can be useful references, but a reference image should not automatically be interpreted as the exact specification of a new custom order.
Customers should rely on the specifications applicable to their own build rather than assuming every visible component in a reference image is included.
Product appearance can also be affected by screen display, lighting, photography and differences between individual components.
Changes to an Approved Build
Customers who want to change a custom build should contact Woody's as soon as possible.
Whether a requested change can be made depends on the stage of the transaction, work already performed, components already ordered or prepared, compatibility and other transaction-specific circumstances.
A requested change is not confirmed merely because it has been submitted. Customers should obtain confirmation concerning the applicable change.
Custom Build Pricing & Payment
Pricing depends on the applicable vehicle, components, accessories, modifications and work included in the custom configuration.
This policy does not establish a universal deposit amount, modification fee or payment schedule for custom builds.
Customers should review the transaction-specific pricing and the Payment Policy before completing payment.
Build & Completion Timing
Custom build timing can depend on the configuration, parts availability, sourcing, service requirements, requested changes and other transaction-specific circumstances.
Any estimated completion information should be treated as an estimate unless otherwise specifically confirmed for the transaction.
This policy does not establish a universal custom-build completion period.
Cancellation of Custom Build Orders
Customers should not assume that a custom build can be cancelled at any stage without regard to work already performed or components already ordered or prepared.
Cancellation eligibility depends on the applicable transaction and its current stage.
Customers who wish to request cancellation should contact Woody's promptly and review the Cancellation Policy .
Returns of Customized Products
Custom-configured products can differ from standard inventory because they may have been prepared according to selected customer specifications.
Customers should not assume that a customized golf cart, installed accessory or specially prepared component has the same return eligibility as a standard unused product.
Return eligibility is determined according to the applicable transaction and Refund & Returns Policy .
Warranty & Modified Golf Carts
Warranty coverage can vary between the base golf cart, individual components, aftermarket products and work performed.
Customers should not assume that installing an accessory or modifying a golf cart creates a universal warranty covering the entire vehicle.
Modifications can also interact with manufacturer or component-specific warranty terms. Applicable coverage should be considered separately for the relevant product or component.
Review the Warranty Policy .
Modifying an Existing or Used Golf Cart
Existing and pre-owned golf carts can differ in condition, prior use, installed equipment, battery condition, tires, wiring and previous modifications.
These differences can affect what modifications are appropriate and how new components interact with the existing vehicle.
Modification of one part of an existing golf cart does not represent certification or refurbishment of every other component.
For pre-owned vehicles, review the Used Golf Cart Disclosure .
Performance & Operating Characteristics
Changes to wheels, tires, suspension, batteries, electrical components, seating, accessories or other systems can affect how a golf cart operates.
Customers should not assume that a modification guarantees a particular speed, range, ride quality, carrying capability or other performance result unless that result is specifically confirmed for the applicable transaction.
Street-Legal & Public-Road Use
Golf cart and low-speed vehicle requirements can vary by location and intended use.
A vehicle may require specific equipment, registration, insurance, licensing or other legal requirements before public road use, depending on applicable law.
The presence of lights, mirrors, seat belts or other equipment should not by itself be interpreted as proof that the vehicle is legally permitted on every public road.
Customers are responsible for determining the laws and requirements applicable to where and how they intend to operate the vehicle.
Reviewing a Completed Custom Build
Customers should review the completed vehicle and applicable configuration information when receiving their custom golf cart.
If the customer believes the completed configuration differs materially from the applicable confirmed build details, the concern should be reported promptly.
Where delivery is involved, customers should also review the Shipping Damage & Delivery Inspection Policy .

Modifications Can Affect More Than Appearance
A change to one part of a golf cart can affect compatibility, operation or other vehicle characteristics. The applicable configuration should therefore be considered as a complete system rather than a collection of unrelated accessories.
Exterior & Seating
Visual changes and seating selections should be reviewed according to the applicable build specifications.
Wheels, Tires & Suspension
Fitment and vehicle configuration matter when changing wheels, tires or suspension-related components.
Lighting & Accessories
Electrical accessories should be considered in relation to the applicable vehicle and existing electrical configuration.
Multiple Modifications
Builds involving several modifications require careful review of the overall configuration and component compatibility.
Check Your Custom Build Carefully
A few minutes reviewing the important details before approval can prevent misunderstandings about the final configuration.
Custom Build Considerations
| Build Area | What to Confirm | What Not to Assume |
|---|---|---|
| Components | The parts and accessories applicable to your build. | That every component fits every golf cart. |
| OEM / Aftermarket | How an applicable component is identified. | That every installed component is OEM. |
| Build Timing | Applicable estimated completion information. | A universal guaranteed completion period. |
| Performance | Any specific performance information confirmed for the applicable configuration. | A universal speed, range or performance result. |
| Warranty | Applicable coverage for the vehicle, component or work. | That every part of a custom cart has identical coverage. |
| Road Use | Requirements in the jurisdiction where the cart will operate. | That modifications automatically make the cart street legal. |
